October 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fiol & Gomez, P.A. is hosting a health fair for previous and existing clients on Saturday, November 6. The health care will be held at the firm's Tampa office, located at 1515 North Marion Street in Tampa, Florida. From 11 am to 3 pm, testing and screenings will be provided for blood pressure, glucose levels, HIV and hearing and vision. In addition to health screenings, snacks and giveaways will be provided.

Committed to Educating Clients About Health Care

On August 12, 2010, the firm's legal nurse consultant, Barb Roberts, RN, presented at webinar session as part of a series on Health Information Organizing. Serving as a guest faculty speaker for Legacies & Lifelines, Nurse Roberts educated participants about medical records. Roberts spoke about how to obtain medical records from health care providers, types of medical record authorizations, Florida state and federal HIPAA regulations governing medical records, how to correct errors in medical records, and explained benefits from Medicare and insurance companies.
